A zona portu\u00e1ria \u00e9 uma das \u00e1reas mais nobres da capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O evento aconteceu em maio daquele ano e foi organizado pela Red Bull. O respons\u00e1vel por guiar o carro na demonstra\u00e7\u00e3o? <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grandepremio.com\/br\/?s=sainz\">Carlos Sainz<\/a>, atualmente piloto da McLaren e fechado com a Ferrari para 2021, defendia a Toro Rosso \u00e0quela altura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O showrun usou exatamente a \u00e1rea atingida pela explos\u00e3o de hoje. H\u00e1 uma conex\u00e3o mais antiga com a zona portu\u00e1ria de Beirute e a F1: em 1999 a cidade lan\u00e7ou um projeto para sediar uma prova em 2006. Ent\u00e3o diretor-t\u00e9cnico da FIA, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grandepremio.com\/br\/?s=whiting\">Charlie Whiting<\/a> chegou a inspecionar o local. O acordo acabou n\u00e3o saindo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Quem vive em Beirute \u00e9 Carlos Ghosn, ex-presidente de Renault e Nissan. A casa dele <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grandepremio.com\/br\/f1\/noticias\/explosao-em-beirute-deixa-casa-de-carlos-ghosn-ex-presidente-da-renault-destruida\/?fl=true&amp;utm_source=lance\">ficou bastante danificada na explos\u00e3o<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A explos\u00e3o aconteceu por volta das 18h (hor\u00e1rio local) perto do porto da capital, local que funciona como cora\u00e7\u00e3o da economia libanesa, visto que o pa\u00eds fica bem perto da Europa pela via mar\u00edtima (aproximadamente 200 km de Larnaca, no Chipre).
