O hexacampe\u00e3o mundial de F1 se uniu a grandes nomes do esporte, como LeBron James, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grandepremio.com\/br\/f1\/noticias\/por-morte-de-george-floyd-hamilton-critica-f1-por-silencio-no-meio-da-injustica\/\"><strong>e se indignou pela letargia dos seus colegas de trabalho<\/strong><\/a>. S\u00f3 ent\u00e3o, sua equipe, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grandepremio.com\/br\/f1\/noticias\/mercedes-se-manifesta-apos-cobranca-hamilton-condenamos-discriminacao\/\"><strong>Mercedes, divulgou um post de contrariedade ao racismo<\/strong><\/a>, assim como o fizeram tamb\u00e9m a F1 e o Indianapolis Motor Speedway nesta ter\u00e7a-feira (2).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tamb\u00e9m nesta tarde, o brit\u00e2nico de 35 anos voltou a se manifestar nas redes sociais no momento em que grandes manifesta\u00e7\u00f5es ganham cada vez mais corpo nos Estados Unidos e avan\u00e7am para o oitavo dia em centenas de cidades, sobretudo em grandes centros como Washington, Los Angeles, Nova York ou mesmo em Minneapolis, e contam com a ades\u00e3o de negros, brancos, hisp\u00e2nicos e asi\u00e1ticos. I have failed to keep hold of my emotions. I have felt so much anger, sadness and disbelief in what my eyes have seen. I am completely overcome with rage at the sight of such blatant disregard for the lives of our people. The injustice that we are seeing our brothers and sisters face all over the world time and time again is disgusting, and MUST stop. So many people seem surprised, but to us unfortunately, it is not surprising. Those of us who are black, brown or in between, see it everyday and should not have to feel as though we were born guilty, don\u2019t belong, or fear for our lives based on the colour of our skin. Will Smith said it best, racism is not getting worse, it\u2019s being filmed. Only now that the world is so well equipped with cameras has this issue been able to come to light in such a big way. It is only when there are riots and screams for justice that the powers that be cave in and do something, but by then it is far too late and not enough has been done. It took hundreds of thousands of peoples complaints and buildings to burn before officials reacted and decided to arrest Derek Chauvin for murder, and that is sad. Unfortunately, America is not the only place where racism lives and we continue to fail as humans when we cannot stand up for what is right.
