\n\tCasey Stoner se juntou aos esforços para combater os incêndios na Austrália. O #27 anunciou no domingo (19) que, pela primeira vez, vai se desfazer de um item de sua coleção pessoal para arrecadar fundos para debelar as chamas.<\/div>\n

\n\tO bicampeão da MotoGP<\/span><\/a><\/strong> colocou em leilão o macacão utilizado no GP de Aragão de 2010, sua última temporada com o time de Borgo Panigale, para arrecadar fundos para o combate às chamas.<\/div>\n

\n\tDesde setembro do ano passado, a Austrália vem sendo devastada por incêndios florestais que já destruíram mais de 10 milhões de hectares. Agravadas pelo aquecimento global, as queimadas já destruíram 2,5 mil casas e mataram 29 pessoas e mais de meio bilhão de animais.<\/div>\n

\n\t“Foi difícil assistir os incêndios florestais em casa enquanto estava de férias nos Estados Unidos”, escreveu Casey. “Foi, no entanto, foi emocionante estar no exterior neste momento e ver o apoio internacional sendo dado ao nosso país durante essa terrível devastação. Estou triste por todas as vidas que foram impactadas e o impacto terrível na nossa terra e nos animais. Tendo passado a maior parte da minha infância em comunidades rurais, estou profundamente conectado à nossa terra e sinto isso profundamente”, seguiu.<\/div>\n

\n\t“Para ajudar a levantar fundos para os afetados, estou, pela primeira vez, colocando em leilão uma peça da minha amada memorabilia da MotoGP da minha coleção privada”, anunciou. “Meu macacão vencedor de Aragão 2010, que usei no meu último ano na Ducati e em um circuito onde sigo invicto está disponível para você participar e me ajudar a angariar fundos significativos para ajudar o Fundo de Combate aos Incêndios Florestais da Austrália”, completou.<\/div>\n
