Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will also compete at Monza with a special Ferrari livery honoring Michael Schumacher, celebrating 30 years since the German’s first season with the Maranello team. Ferrari has also confirmed that Rubens Barrichello and Sebastian Vettel will drive the F2002 during the Italian GP weekend, with the Brazilian taking the wheel on Saturday (5) and the German on Sunday (6).
“Monza is certainly the perfect place to celebrate Michael’s legacy, as he experienced so many glorious moments with Ferrari, the quintessential Italian team. This combination seems perfect — especially considering the 30th anniversary of Michael’s victory at Monza,” began Sabine Kehm, managing director of the Keep Fighting Foundation, the charity established by the former F1 driver’s family at the end of 2016.
