Ganassi reached the 150-win mark in IndyCar with Álex Palou’s victory at the Nashville GP on Monday (20), held at the 1.33-mile oval in Lebanon, Tennessee—combining records from the CART and IRL eras.

Palou’s victory was the 24th of the Spaniard’s career, all achieved with Ganassi. With this result, he further solidifies his status as the second-most successful driver in the team’s history, trailing only Scott Dixon, who scored 58 of his 59 career victories driving for Chip Ganassi. The duo also stands as the team’s most decorated champions, with four and six titles, respectively.

Surpassed by Palou in 2025, Alex Zanardi ranks third on Ganassi’s all-time win list. The Italian scored 15 victories and claimed two championship titles during his stint with the squad in the 1990s.

The fourth most successful driver in Ganassi’s history is Dario Franchitti, who took 13 checkered flags. However, the Scot leads the team when it comes to the Indianapolis 500, being the only driver to win the crown jewel race twice for the outfit. Additionally, he claimed three series championships with the team.

Juan Pablo Montoya follows in fifth with 11 wins, along with one championship title and an Indy 500 victory, rounding out the top five. 1996 IndyCar champion Jimmy Vasser boasts nine victories for Ganassi.

Dan Wheldon ranks as the team’s seventh most successful driver, taking six wins over his three seasons with Ganassi. The Briton sits just ahead of Marcus Ericsson, who scored four victories for the team, including the 2022 Indianapolis 500.

Bruno Junqueira is the ninth winningest driver in Ganassi’s history and the top Brazilian for the squad, taking three victories in the early 2000s. The Minas Gerais native stands ahead of Michael Andretti, who secured two wins during the 1994 season—including the team’s maiden victory at the Surfers Paradise GP on March 20 of that year.

Further down, Tony Kanaan—winner at Fontana in 2014—heads the list of drivers with a single victory for Ganassi. That group also includes Felix Rosenqvist, Charlie Kimball, Kenny Bräck, and Jeff Ward.

IndyCar now enters its final two-week summer break before the run-in to the 2026 season finale. The series returns from August 7–9 for the Portland GP, kicking off a final stretch of six consecutive races to decide the championship.
