Another piece of the 2027 MotoGP rider market grid has fallen into place. Enea Bastianini ended his relationship with KTM and will defend Trackhouse, Aprilia’s satellite team, next season. The announcement was widely expected and came on Monday morning (24).

Bastianini joined Tech3, KTM’s satellite team, at the start of 2025 on a two-year deal that included a clause allowing the Austrian manufacturer to retain him for an additional season. As the option was not activated within the deadline, the rider turned to other market options.

According to the official press release, the agreement with Bastianini is valid for the next two years. “I am extremely excited to join Trackhouse for the upcoming MotoGP World Championships,” said the rider.

“Starting from the Valencia tests this year, it will be a truly new challenge for me, as we are entering a new era with a new bike, new tires, and new regulations. That’s why I’m happy to bring my experience and my fighting spirit to Trackhouse so we can develop the new Aprilia RS-GP together. The team grew a lot during 2026 and became a title contender—I will certainly give my best to keep us at the top,” he assured.

Trackhouse owner Justin Marks highlighted Bastianini’s “infectious personality” as one of the key elements he brings to the team in 2027.

“Enea’s competitive side, combined with his MotoGP victory history and experience at the highest level of the sport, forms the perfect scenario for a team that we believe is on the verge of reaching peak form,” Marks stated.

“Enea’s infectious personality, along with his enthusiasm to get started, his humility, and his positivity, are attributes we always look for in our mission to attract athletes who represent the total package,” he added.
