Sunday (9) at Silverstone played right into Jorge Martín’s hands, even if he couldn’t match Raúl Fernández’s pace in the feature race. By locking down another podium finish over the British GP weekend, the Spaniard widened his gap at the head of the standings. The 2024 World Champion has now accumulated 240 points, opening a 31-point cushion over his nearest challenger in the title fight.
The Silverstone round also reshuffled second place in the 2026 MotoGP standings. Marco Bezzecchi fought through physical pain to secure a spot on the podium, moving up to 209 points to leapfrog Ai Ogura, who suffered a solo crash and retired from the British event.
Marc Márquez remains fourth in the standings with 200 points, followed closely by Fabio Di Giannantonio on 199. With his victory on Sunday, Raúl Fernández holds onto sixth place overall while bumping his tally up to 184 points.
Pedro Acosta (163), Francesco Bagnaia (143), Álex Márquez (106), and Luca Marini (86) round out the MotoGP top-10 after 12 rounds. Diogo Moreira bagged another solid points finish, holding 15th place in the standings with 54 points.
MotoGP now takes a break before returning to action from August 28 to 30 for the Aragon GP, round 13 of the 2026 season. GRANDE PRÊMIO will provide full coverage of the event alongside all World Championship classes.
