Marc Márquez transformed the 2026 MotoGP World Championship landscape with a maximum-points sweep at the Aragon Grand Prix. By winning both Saturday’s Sprint and Sunday’s main race, the factory Ducati rider surged to 237 points, overtaking Marco Bezzecchi to claim 2nd place in the overall standings.
Championship leader Jorge Martín maintained his spot at the top of the standings with 256 points after salvaging a 5th-place finish on Sunday. However, Martín’s cushion at the top has been slashed to 19 points as the season enters its final seven rounds.

Marco Bezzecchi slipped to 3rd overall with 232 points, staying within 24 points of the lead despite ceding 2nd to Márquez.
