Martín’s return to the championship lead came less than 24 hours after Márquez had overtaken him in Saturday’s sprint. The Ducati rider won the shorter race, while Martín finished fourth after encountering front tyre-pressure problems.
Sunday reversed the situation. Martín recovered from a difficult opening lap to finish third, while Márquez struggled to match Aprilia’s pace and crossed the line sixth, 10.778s behind Bezzecchi.
Bezzecchi strengthened third place with his fifth Grand Prix victory of the season, reaching 309 points and reducing his deficit to Martín to 46.
Ogura moved into fourth with 259 points, just one ahead of Acosta, following his fourth-place finish at Mandalika.
Diogo Moreira finished 16th and scored no points, remaining on 74 and level with Fabio Quartararo. The Yamaha rider is listed ahead on the championship countback.
GRANDE PRÊMIO documented the first seven changes of championship leader, with Sunday’s result adding another reversal to the season.

Ducati Lenovo collected only ten points through Márquez’s sixth place, with Francesco Bagnaia retiring. The Italian manufacturer’s factory team remains second on 519 points.
Trackhouse strengthened third place after Fernández finished second despite racing with fractured fingers and Ogura completed Aprilia’s top-four sweep. The independent team now has 495 points, 24 behind Ducati Lenovo.
The battle for fifth remains close, with Gresini on 306 points and VR46 on 304.
MotoGP 2026 constructors’ championship standings after Indonesian GP
| Pos. | Constructor | Points | Gap |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Aprilia | 503 | — |
| 2 | Ducati | 491 | -12 |

Aprilia’s victory in Indonesia also changed the lead of the Constructors’ Championship.
The Italian manufacturer entered Sunday’s Grand Prix three points behind Ducati, having lost the lead following Márquez’s sprint victory.
However, Bezzecchi’s victory added 25 constructors’ points, while Márquez’s sixth place contributed ten for Ducati.
Aprilia consequently moved to 503 points, 12 ahead of Ducati on 491.
Unlike the Teams’ Championship, only the highest-scoring rider from each manufacturer contributes points to its constructors’ total in each race.
Aprilia’s advantage came during a weekend in which the RS-GP was the dominant motorcycle at Mandalika. Bezzecchi won ahead of Fernández, Martín and Ogura, giving the manufacturer its first-ever top-four sweep in the premier class.
The complete Indonesian MotoGP race results detail Bezzecchi’s victory, Fernández’s recovery from injury and Martín’s return to the championship lead.
Martín and Márquez separated by just two points before Australia
The championship remains exceptionally close after 17 rounds, with Martín holding a two-point advantage over Márquez and Bezzecchi still mathematically involved in the title battle.
Márquez arrived at Mandalika expecting to struggle against Aprilia, but his sprint victory temporarily moved him ahead of Martín. The Spaniard could not reproduce that performance over Sunday’s longer race distance.
Martín, meanwhile, leaves Indonesia leading the championship for the fourth separate spell of the season, having previously regained first place at the Americas, Assen and Austria.
The next round takes place at Phillip Island from October 23–25, when the Australian Grand Prix will provide another opportunity for the championship order to change.
