Indonesian MotoGP times in Australia and New Zealand

Mandalika’s location makes the Indonesian GP considerably easier to follow live in Australia and New Zealand than the European rounds.

How to watch the Indonesian MotoGP

The simplest global option is MotoGP VideoPass, which provides live coverage of the complete Grand Prix weekend, including practice, qualifying, the Sprint and Sunday’s race in supported territories.

In the UK, TNT Sports carries the Indonesian GP, including all MotoGP sessions. The main race begins at 08:00 BST on Sunday.

Broadcast availability differs by country, so viewers should check MotoGP’s official broadcaster directory for the service available in their territory. The championship’s own streaming platform is also available across numerous markets.

Martín and Márquez arrive just two points apart

The unusual viewing hours in Europe and North America coincide with one of the most important weekends of the season.

Márquez swept the Japanese GP at Motegi, collecting the maximum 37 points from the Sprint and Grand Prix. Martín finished second in both races, reducing his championship advantage to just 333 points to 331.

That means the championship lead could change as early as Saturday. If Márquez wins the Mandalika Sprint and Martín finishes second, the Ducati rider would move ahead by one point before Sunday’s Grand Prix.

Indonesia also presents a fascinating historical contrast between the two contenders. Márquez has never finished a MotoGP Grand Prix at Mandalika, while Martín won the Sunday race in 2024 during his successful championship campaign.

Espargaró adds another storyline at Mandalika

Honda will also field a different line-up in Indonesia.

Aleix Espargaró returns to MotoGP to replace Joan Mir after the 2020 world champion was advised to continue his recovery. It will be Espargaró’s first race weekend since Valencia in 2025.

His appearance also produces an unusual statistical milestone: Espargaró becomes the 32nd different rider used during the 2026 MotoGP season, leaving the championship four additional participants away from establishing a new MotoGP-era record.

The main focus, however, remains Martín against Márquez, separated by only two points with six rounds remaining. Sunday’s race covers 27 laps and 116.13km of the 4.3km Mandalika International Circuit.
