It was his third consecutive MotoGP victory at the Spanish venue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The result \u2014 already expected by many \u2014 puts the Catalan rider firmly into the <strong>fight for the 2026 World Championship<\/strong>, with just 24 points separating the top three riders. However, the #72 was competitive from his first laps on track and <strong>secured pole position at MotorLand with a new lap record<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the races, Bezzecchi was surprised by Marc M\u00e1rquez at Turn 1 and, on Sunday, managed to defend his position for a while. Still, it is worth noting that the #89 has endured some unusual weekends during the 2026 season, with performances well below expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even so, the next races will be decisive. Unlike in previous years, <strong>Mart\u00edn appears more mature when it comes to avoiding crashes and securing points even when victory is out of reach<\/strong>. The Frenchman returned to serve the penalty resulting from the Catalan GP and regain his feel for the bike, but <strong>he managed to score points in both the Sprint and the Grand Prix<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zarco had spent months away from MotoGP after suffering a serious accident at Montmel\u00f3. In his first race back, he immediately scored two symbolic points, giving him an important boost in confidence during his comeback.
