True to tradition, the championship will begin on the street circuit of St. Petersburg, Florida, with the race scheduled for March 7. As was the case in 2026, the series will share the paddock with the NASCAR Truck Series, which will also compete on the street track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The St. Pete Grand Prix debuted on the IndyCar calendar in 2003 during the Champ Car era. It transitioned to the Indy Racing League (IRL) in 2005, becoming the calendar&#8217;s first-ever non-oval race. Ticket sales for the 2027 edition will open in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The remainder of the 2027 IndyCar calendar has yet to be announced.
