Following a crucial victory on Saturday, Wehrlein needed only to finish ahead of Jake Dennis and protect a 21-point margin over Mitch Evans. Despite failing to score points following late-race contact, Wehrlein secured the crown after Dennis finished 18th and Evans crossed the line 4th, joining Jean-Éric Vergne as the only two-time champions in Formula E history.

NEOM McLaren’s Taylor Barnard claimed victory in the season finale, with Mahindra drivers Nyck de Vries and Edoardo Mortara completing the podium.

The title caps a resilient campaign for Wehrlein, who built an early-season points lead before struggling through the mid-season European rounds. The German regained momentum at the ExCeL Arena to deliver Porsche’s World Championship title.

Mitch Evans and Sébastien Buemi rounded out the top five. Nick Cassidy, Jean-Éric Vergne, Pepe Martí, Oliver Rowland, and Norman Nato completed the top ten scoring positions in the final race of the 2025/26 season.

Formula E pre-season testing for the 2026/27 campaign begins November 16 at the Circuito de Jarama in Madrid. Title contender Jake Dennis lost ground on lap one, dropping to 17th position, while Andretti teammate Felipe Drugovich fell to 13th. Meanwhile, Lucas Di Grassi served a mandatory 10-second stop-and-go penalty on lap one following an inverter change.

Nico Müller executed team tactics early, backing up the pack to allow Wehrlein to construct a pit window. António Félix da Costa and Taylor Barnard were among the first drivers to activate Attack Mode on lap four. Da Costa launched a pass on Müller at Turn 1 on lap five, allowing Barnard through on Wehrlein shortly after.

De Vries retained the lead through his Attack Mode activations courtesy of defensive positioning by Mahindra teammate Mortara. Da Costa then dropped his pace to defend against Wehrlein, holding off the championship leader until lap eight when Wehrlein completed a pass on the main straight.

Mitch Evans held 6th position while conserving energy for his late-race Attack Mode runs. On lap 11, Da Costa repassed Wehrlein for 4th, while De Vries swapped positions with Mortara at the front of the field.

On lap 14, Lucas Di Grassi suffered a terminal mechanical failure on his Lola Yamaha, retiring in the pit lane to bring an early end to his final professional race.

Evans mounted a recovery drive through the secondary pack, passing Müller for 7th on lap 17 as Nick Cassidy and Jean-Éric Vergne utilized late Attack Mode allocations to advance into the top eight.

Mahindra executed a planned position swap on lap 25, returning De Vries to the lead ahead of Mortara. Dennis activated his remaining Attack Mode, passing Dan Ticktum along the wall to begin a late charge through the field.

Evans activated Attack Mode on lap 27 against pit wall instructions, passing both Da Costa and Wehrlein. On lap 28, Da Costa defended aggressively against Wehrlein into Turn 1, forcing the German wide and dropping him to 11th behind Dennis, Martí, and Eriksson, setting up a frantic final stretch.

London E-Prix Race 2 – Race Results

Pos

Driver

Team

1

Taylor Barnard

NEOM McLaren

2

Nyck de Vries

Mahindra Racing

3

Edoardo Mortara

Mahindra Racing

4

Mitch Evans

Jaguar TCS Racing

5

Sébastien Buemi

Envision Racing

6

Nick Cassidy

Citroën / Maserati MSG

7

Jean-Éric Vergne

DS Penske

8

Pepe Martí

Cupra / ABT

9

Oliver Rowland

Nissan Formula E

10

Norman Nato

Nissan Formula E

11

António Félix da Costa

Jaguar TCS Racing

12

Nico Müller

TAG Heuer Porsche

13

Felipe Drugovich

Andretti Formula E

14

Joel Eriksson

Envision Racing

15

Dan Ticktum

Kiro Race Co

16

Maximilian Günther

DS Penske

17

Pascal Wehrlein

TAG Heuer Porsche

18

Jake Dennis

Andretti Formula E

19

Zane Maloney

Lola Yamaha ABT

DNF

Lucas Di Grassi

Lola Yamaha ABT

Pascal Wehrlein tangled with title rival Jake Dennis in the closing stages of Race 2 at the London E-Prix, securing his second Formula E World Championship title as Taylor Barnard claimed race victory

{"42wp_featured_image_caption":"Pascal Wehrlein is Formula E 2025/26 champion ","42wp_featured_image_credits":"Formula E","42wp_featured_video":"","42wp_featured_image_hidden":false,"42wp_authors_list":
"42wp_breaking_news":false
39
23,205,135,223],"42wp_author":[93
post-807","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-formula-e","tag-formula-e","tag-london-e-prix","tag-pascal-werhlein","tag-taylor-barnard","42wp_author-marcos-gil
["GET
