Racing Bulls has officially confirmed the return of Yuki Tsunoda to the starting grid for the Dutch Grand Prix this weekend. After missing out on a full-time race seat for the 2026 season, the Japanese driver was called upon by the Faenza squad to substitute for Liam Lawson, who moves up to Red Bull to cover for Isack Hadjar following his wrist injury.

“Racing Bulls confirms that Liam Lawson will drive for Red Bull at the Dutch Grand Prix this weekend due to Isack Hadjar’s wrist injury. As a result of this movement, reserve driver Yuki Tsunoda will race for Racing Bulls in Zandvoort alongside Arvid Lindblad. We thank Liam and Yuki for their adaptability during team preparations and wish Isack a swift recovery,” the team announced in an official statement.

Tsunoda’s return puts him back alongside rookie Arvid Lindblad as Racing Bulls seeks to defend 5th place in the Constructors’ Championship against Alpine.
