Andrea Kimi Antonelli executed another effective damage-limitation drive against McLaren at the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix, extending his World Championship lead despite Lando Norris taking victory.

With assistance from Mercedes teammate George Russell, who held off a late charge from Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton, Antonelli crossed the line in 2nd position to accumulate 242 points at the top of the standings.

Russell’s 3rd-place finish brought him level with Hamilton on 183 points, taking over 2nd place in the championship via tiebreaker due to his higher win count. Meanwhile, Norris’s second win of the season moved him to 159 points, bringing him within 24 points of the battle for 2nd place.
