Rafael Câmara enjoyed a positive Formula 2 round in Belgium, gaining fresh momentum in his title pursuit by winning Feature Race 2. After praising Invicta Racing for their work at Spa-Francorchamps, the Brazilian driver stated that he remains firmly in the fight against Nikola Tsolov and Gabriele Minì, though he admitted there is still a long road ahead before the season wraps up.

Câmara has showcased strong single-lap pace in F2, securing four pole positions so far this season. However, Invicta’s race pace has not always matched their qualifying performance, making it difficult for the Brazilian to convert those poles into victories.

In Great Britain, the Brazilian took pole but suffered from a muted race pace, finishing down in fifth. Belgium offered a completely different story, with Invicta displaying strong competitive pace in both qualifying and the races. The result was a victory for Joshua Dürksen in the Sprint Race and a Feature Race win for Câmara.

Following the result, Câmara admitted to gaining renewed confidence in his title push, but emphasized his desire to remain focused on taking things one round at a time.

“It’s a really good feeling, especially after Silverstone where we had pole but couldn’t deliver a good race. But overall, it was a fantastic weekend. We managed to execute everything really well, so it was a great result for us. The team also did a great job throughout the whole weekend—the car was amazing,” said Câmara.

“It’s great to be in the fight. But at the end of the day, the approach is always very similar: you just need to focus on yourself. There’s still a long way to go. So, I want to make sure we maximize what we can control. In the end, hopefully, we can be in the fight for the championship,” Câmara concluded.

After eight rounds, Tsolov leads the 2026 F2 standings with 161 points, holding a 27-point advantage over second-placed Minì. Câmara sits third in the championship with 125 points.

F2 returns to action with the Hungarian double-header from July 24–26. GRANDE PRÊMIO will provide full coverage of the weekend.
