MotoGP has announced that Red Bull will become the title sponsor of the Australian Grand Prix from 2027, as the championship prepares for its historic move to a new street circuit in Adelaide.
The agreement covers the inaugural Adelaide event in 2027 and the following edition in 2028, marking another expansion of Red Bull’s involvement in international motorcycle racing.
The first race at the new venue is scheduled for November 12–14, 2027, when Adelaide will host the penultimate round of the championship.
The event will replace Phillip Island, which hosts the Australian Grand Prix for the final time under the current arrangement in October 2026.
Adelaide prepares for MotoGP’s first city-centre race
The new Adelaide circuit will measure 4.13km and feature 15 corners, incorporating elements of the city’s historic Formula 1 street circuit.
Sections associated with the original layout, including Stag Corner, Rundle Road, Brewery Bend and Dequetteville Terrace, have been incorporated into the design.
The project has been developed in cooperation with MotoGP, the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme and local authorities.
Safety has been a central consideration in the design, given the distinctive challenges of staging motorcycle racing on a street circuit.
The organisers expect the new venue to bring the championship into the heart of Adelaide while creating additional opportunities for fans and commercial partners.

Red Bull expands its relationship with MotoGP
Red Bull already maintains an extensive presence in motorcycle racing through team sponsorships, rider development programmes and other championship partnerships.
The new agreement adds the Australian Grand Prix to its portfolio of major international events.
MotoGP deputy CEO Carlos Ezpeleta described Australia as one of the championship’s most important markets and welcomed Red Bull’s participation in the Adelaide project.
South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas also highlighted the international exposure expected from the event and the importance of attracting a major global sponsor.
The agreement includes plans for promotional activities and fan experiences throughout the race week.
Phillip Island hosts 2026 Australian Grand Prix
Before the move to Adelaide, MotoGP will return to Phillip Island from October 23 to 25, 2026.
The event comes during the championship battle between Jorge Martín and Marc Márquez, who are separated by only two points after the Indonesian Grand Prix.
The full Phillip Island schedule and start times are available on GRANDE PRÊMIO.
The 2027 Adelaide race will also coincide with the introduction of MotoGP’s new generation of 850cc motorcycles and revised technical regulations.
