Yamaha and Pramac Racing announced on Thursday (August 27) that their partnership with Jack Miller will conclude at the end of the 2026 MotoGP World Championship season. The official confirmation opens the door for Pramac to announce his replacement while clearing the path for Miller’s next career move.

Miller’s tenure with Pramac spanned two separate stints: first from 2018 to 2020 aboard Ducati machinery, and returning in 2025 following Pramac’s transition to Yamaha equipment. The Australian rider played a vital role in Yamaha’s development program, leveraging his extensive V4 engine background. Alongside his MotoGP duties, Miller also represented Yamaha at the iconic Suzuka 8 Hours endurance race in both 2025 and 2026.

“Jack joined Yamaha at an important stage of our MotoGP project and immediately became a valuable contributor,” stated Paolo Pavesio, Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Racing. “His technical understanding, open feedback, and relentless commitment helped us move forward in various areas. On behalf of Yamaha, I would like to sincerely thank Jack for everything he has done for our program.”

Pramac Team Principal Paolo Campinoti and Team Manager Gino Borsoi expressed similar gratitude for the Australian’s contributions during a transformative period for the squad.

“Some riders pass through a team, but others leave a lasting mark on its history. Jack belongs to the second group,” Campinoti remarked. Borsoi added: “A rider and a person like Jack deserves to remain part of the structure, but sport is sport, and sooner or later, paths must part.“

Moto2 contender Izán Guevara is widely expected to step up to fill the vacant seat at Pramac Yamaha for 2027, while Miller is linked with a move to the World Superbike Championship.

The rider market announcement arrives as the paddock prepares for Round 13 at MotorLand, with Lorenzo Savadori replacing the injured Ai Ogura at Trackhouse Racing and Marc Márquez setting sights on podium contention following physical recovery. Meanwhile, Jorge Martín expressed strong confidence ahead of his Aragon debut with Aprilia.
