What is at stake after Sepang?

Kimi Antonelli arrives in Singapore with an 84-point championship advantage over George Russell. The Mercedes driver finished second in Malaysia, while his teammate retired with a power unit failure.

Antonelli has 320 points, Russell 236 and Lewis Hamilton 214 in the championship standings after Sepang.

Singapore offers a maximum of 33 points per driver: eight for winning the Sprint and 25 for winning the Grand Prix. Antonelli cannot clinch the championship at Marina Bay, but the additional scoring opportunity could move him closer.

Max Verstappen heads into the weekend after taking his first victory of 2026 in the rain-affected Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia. Hamilton completed the podium after recovering from a difficult opening phase on slick tyres.

Formula 1 returns from 9–11 October for the Singapore Grand Prix. GRANDE PRÊMIO will cover all the action at Marina Bay.
