News Summary
- The FIA summoned Charles Leclerc and Liam Lawson over contact at Turn 12.
- Andrea Kimi Antonelli and Franco Colapinto were called in over a possible unsafe release from the Mercedes pit box.
- Oliver Bearman and Leclerc were summoned over a separate possible unsafe release involving Haas. The published notices are summonses, with decisions on the three incidents still pending at the time of writing.
Charles Leclerc was summoned twice after the São Paulo Grand Prix as the FIA stewards opened three post-race cases at Interlagos. The Ferrari driver and Liam Lawson were called in over contact at Turn 12, while a separate hearing concerns a possible unsafe release by Haas involving Oliver Bearman and Leclerc. The stewards also called in Andrea Kimi Antonelli and Franco Colapinto over an incident in the pit lane.
Leclerc and Lawson called in over contact at Junção
The stewards scheduled the hearing for 16:45 local time, citing contact between the Ferrari and Racing Bulls at Turn 12. The two were fighting for seventh late in the race. Leclerc was classified seventh in the provisional result, 1.816s ahead of Lawson. The gap makes the decision relevant to both drivers’ points and to the post-race championship standings.
Mercedes and Haas face separate pit-lane hearings
The stewards scheduled Antonelli and Colapinto’s hearing for 16:30 local time. The case concerns the release of Antonelli’s Mercedes into the pit lane in an incident involving Colapinto’s Alpine. Antonelli was fifth in the provisional classification, with Colapinto 13th. That fifth place, together with George Russell’s fourth, was enough for Mercedes to secure the constructors’ title in the provisional São Paulo GP result.
Bearman and Leclerc were called in for 17:15 local time over a different incident. The stewards’ notices identify Bearman’s Haas as the car released and summon Leclerc in connection with that release. The hearing is separate from Leclerc’s contact with Lawson. Bearman was 17th in the provisional result.
