Red Bull officially confirmed that the French driver sustained a wrist injury and will be replaced by Liam Lawson for the event at Circuit Zandvoort. Yuki Tsunoda returns to the race grid to fill the seat left vacant by Lawson at Racing Bulls.
Reports surrounding Hadjar’s wrist injury emerged early Wednesday, August 19. Dutch publication De Telegraaf reported the injury occurred during gym training, while the BBC specified it happened during a boxing workout. Red Bull, however, chose not to elaborate on the specific cause in its official release.
“Isack Hadjar suffered a wrist injury during the summer break, which will prevent him from competing in the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix. Liam Lawson will replace him in the RB22 this weekend. The team wishes Isack a speedy recovery and thanks Liam for stepping into the drive at short notice,” the statement read.
